THE REUNION LUNCHEON WAS GREAT!

If you can't identify all the band members (and Mr. Edmunds) in this photo, then you should have been there!

THE LUNCHEON was on Saturday, July 17, 2004, at 11:30 AM. We had 15 or so Grenadier Band alumni at a lunch with JOHN EDMUNDS! That's right, our beloved leader, teacher, taskmaster, eraser-thrower, and head-thumper joined us at lunch, and again that night at the big reunion bash!  We got to once again spend time with the man who had such a great impact on all our lives.

IF YOU WEREN'T THERE this year, you definitely should make plans to be there NEXT YEAR! We're already working on putting together another CHS Band Reunion Lunch. This one will (probably) be on Saturday around noon on July 16, 2005. This is because the Grand Grenadier Gathering reunion of all 1960's-era students is traditionally held on the third Saturday in July. So we may as well double up with them..

A SUMMARY REPORT of the luncheon is being put together right now. As soon as all the participants okay it (or at least don't scream in protest), we'll try to make it available here for your review.

TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK. I'd like to put together a series of pages about all our old band friends and make it available to everyone. We could either do this on the web (I could put it right here on this website, with a password to get in), or we could publish it as an e-book. Or, if people were interested in spending the money, we could do it as a sort of actual paper-based yearbook. But I think it would be great to be able to read what we've all done over our lives, who our families are now, what we've been doing with music, what some of our best memories are from band days, and to see a lot of pictures of you from then up to now. Please let me know if you think this is a good idea, and we'll see what we can do over the next year.

This is really exciting, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all there (again?) next year.  -- DPM --
